Pita Chips

Pita Bread

Favorite spices
Pizza Cutter

Cut each pita like a pie with the pizza cutter and separate each wedge. You will end up with 16 triangles.
Place the triangles with the inside of the pita up on a cookie sheet
Spray them with "Pam" cooking spray
Season with your favorite spice. We use Penzey's southwest seasoning and a little garlic salt. Place in the center of the oven @ 400 degrees for 8-10 min or until brown and crisp as you like. Cool and eat with your favorite salsa or hummus.

You can make these ahead and when cool, store in ziploc storage bag. To add variety change what kind of pitas you use such as whole wheat, onion, garlic oregano, etc. This recipe has cured our cravings for "chips".
