White Gravy for Biscuits

Makes 1 cup

2 Tbsp butter/margarine
2 Tbsp flour
1/4 tsp salt
1 cup milk

Melt butter in saucepan over LOW heat
Blend in flour, salt, and dash of white pepper
Add milk all at once
Cook quickly, stirring constantly until mixture thickens and bubbles
Remove from heat and add cheese and/or browned sausage
